Background

This Concept Note on our AI Education Program provides details on the Why,What,How of rolling our the right education program to train your teachers and students.

65% of Students in School will enter into jobs that don’t exist today. 42% of Core Skills in all jobs will be replaced by AI. There is also the longstanding concern about the low rate of female participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) studies and consequently STEM careers.

AI Skilling will be a key enabler for the attainment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. AI is impacting all aspects of society, from how we learn to how we drive to healthcare innovations. AI will enable applications and processes to get smarter thus increasing the benefit to society. According to an Accenture analysis, “AI has the potential to add US$957 billion, or 15 percent of current gross value added, to India’s economy in 2035. To avoid missing out on this opportunity, policymakers and business leaders must prepare for, and work toward, the AI revolution. While AI Technologies are Transforming Societies worldwide, the Lack of AI Skills is the number one challenge this Transformation faces. A Digital Divide is fast developing between the Haves and the Have-nots, which needs to be urgently bridged. To achieve AI’s potential, both boys and girls, men and women need equal access to AI education and careers.

WiselyWise understands that the clear solution for bridging this gap can be found in our schools and colleges as well as corporations through Skilling programs. This Concept Note on AI Education Program underscores the fact that the need of the hour is to educate students at an early age about how to be creators of AI, not just consumers of AI. Our Research has shown that the existing STEM programs that focus on coding and robotics fall quite short in the AI Education Space. The overall purpose of the AI Education Program is to make the case for strengthening students’ education in AI subjects via age-appropriate Courses, and ultimately bring equality of access to quality education and careers. The program will help educational institutions move quickly towards developing multiple generations of AI Students, empowering them for Success in AI-run global economies.

Concept Note AI Education Program: Duration and Format

The AI Education Program will be conducted for one year with an option to extend for 2 more years. It will cover all students from Grade 3 to Grade 12 (Grade 3 to High School) and will be delivered in a Phygital/hybrid mode. WiseCentral Platform & and age-appropriate courses will be used for self-study by the students and the teachers will conduct classes in school. The Teachers will be trained by WiselyWise through a two-day workshop and given access to a How to Teach AI online course which consists of Lesson Plans, Rubrics, and Assessments.

  • Online learning where students will access the courses on WiseCentral and study in multi-media formats in an engaging mode comprising of MCQs, Quizzes, and Assignments.
  • Hands-on learning where students access Maya to learn applications of AI in daily life, complete a Digital Portfolio deck, and do Coding.
  • Community-based learning provides the opportunity for students to complete joint projects, participate in discussions, conduct experiments along with family and friends, present their projects
AI Learning Pathways from Classes 3 to 12

Target Area and Beneficiaries

WiselyWise can conduct programs consisting of a minimum of 1 School and above, with a minimum of 15 students in each batch.

For Governments, Corporate Sponsors, School Districts, and School Chains, WiselyWise has the expertise to implement this AI Education Program up to 200 Schools and up to 20,000 students across multiple geographical areas in the same timezone across the Academic Year.

Between 150-250 teachers can be trained with backgrounds ideally in Computer Science, Maths, and Sciences and this can also include Volunteers from the Sponsor organization.

BabyAGI : Rise of the autonomous AI agents

We will focus on a fascinating project called BabyAGI, which aims to create a fully autonomous AI agent that can learn from its own experience and generate its own tasks.

What is BabyAGI?

BabyAGI is an open-source platform that draws inspiration from the cognitive development of human infants to facilitate research in various fields, including reinforcement learning, language learning, and cognitive development. The name of the platform comes from the term artificial general intelligence (AGI), which refers to the hypothetical ability of an AI system to perform any intellectual task that a human can.

BabyAGI is a python script which uses OpenAI and Pinecone APIs, and the LangChain framework to create, organize, prioritize as well as the executing of tasks. The process behind BabyAGI is that it will create a task using predefined objectives that are based on the outcome out a previous task. For example, if the objective is to write a blog post about a topic, the initial task could be to generate a title for the post. Then, based on the title, BabyAGI will create new tasks such as writing an introduction, finding relevant sources, adding images, etc. The script will then use OpenAI’s natural language processing (NLP) capabilities to complete each task based on the context and store the results in Pinecone, a vector database server. Finally, BabyAGI will reprioritize the task list based on the objective and the result of the previous task.

Why is BabyAGI important?

BabyAGI is an important project because it demonstrates the potential of autonomous agents, or bots that take an objective you give them and then use it to generate their own set of prompts. Rather than asking a chatbot to perform 10 different steps that lead to developing a business plan or writing a series of articles, you just ask for the end result and leave the software to figure out how to get there. This could save time and effort for users who want to automate their creative or analytical tasks.

BabyAGI is also important because it showcases the power of OpenAI’s API and GPT 3.5 or GPT 4 model, which are some of the most advanced generative AI tools available today. These tools can produce high-quality text on almost any topic, given enough context and guidance. By using these tools in combination with Pinecone and LangChain, BabyAGI can create coherent and consistent outputs that are relevant to the objective.

How to use BabyAGI?

If you are interested in trying out BabyAGI for yourself, you will need to install Python and Git on your PC (the same instructions will likely work on macOS or Linux) and obtain an OpenAI API key and a Pinecone account. You can get a free $18 credit on OpenAI, but if you are serious about your AI, you will end up spending money. You can also get a free account on Pinecone, which allows you to store up to 10 million vectors.

Once you have these prerequisites, you can clone the BabyAGI repository from GitHub and run the script using your terminal or command prompt. You will need to enter your OpenAI API key and Pinecone API key in the .env file before running the script. You will also need to specify your objective and initial task in the babyagi.py file. For example:

initial_task = “Generate a title for the blog post”

The script will then start running an infinite loop that will do the following steps:

– Pulls the first task from the task list.

– Sends the task to the execution agent, which uses OpenAI’s API to complete the task based on the context.

– Enriches the result and stores it in Pinecone.

– Creates new tasks and reprioritizes the task list based on the objective and the result of the previous task.

You can monitor the progress of BabyAGI by checking your terminal or command prompt output. You can also access your Pinecone dashboard to see what vectors are stored in your database. You will have to manually stop the script by hitting CTRL + C when you think it’s done because if left to its own devices, it will go on generating new tasks forever (and you will run up your API bill).
