Knowledge Session on 3D Printing

WiselyWise is conducting a free knowledge sharing session on 3D Printing on 12 February 2022. This 1 hour session is open to all students and teachers to attend.
3D printing or additive manufacturing is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a digital 3D model. The material would be printed layer by layer to make a whole object. 3D Printing is used in Education by incorporating 3D Printed models for teaching. It is used in manufacturing, prototyping, medical industry for bioprinting, dentistry, construction, automobile spare parts, jewelry, shoes, gift making etc. There are different types of 3D printers and filaments available in the market to cater to the industrial need.
The session will have a detailed introduction to 3D Printing technology and the three major domains of 3D Printing. The participants will learn about 3D modeling, slicing and printing. All will learn how to design their first 3D model and can see how the designed models are being printed.
The session will be concluded with a fun quiz to recollect the learning.
