Naan Mudhalvan is a skilling program of the Government of Tamil Nadu for college students, run through the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC). Launched in March 2022, it aims to give one million young people a year employable skills through credit-based courses built into college curricula, free for students and faculty, alongside faculty upskilling and placement readiness. At Bharathidasan University the work had to reach 53 affiliated colleges spread across 8 districts: Ariyalur, Karur, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli and Tiruvarur. Each college needed a lecturer who could support the course and students who would practise it.
WiselyWise delivered a five-day Faculty Development Program on digital marketing at Bharathidasan University with Naan Mudhalvan, then took the training to students at the affiliated colleges.
What we brought to the program; the colleges' own view is in the testimonial below.
A ready 45-hour course
From Zero to Digital Marketer starts from nothing and ends with students who have practised the work, so colleges did not have to build a syllabus first.
Faculty trained before students
WiselyWise designs its education programs so that the lecturer is ready first. A five-day Faculty Development Program came before any student session.
Trainers who stay hands-on
WiselyWise trainers worked at the computers with faculty, not only from the front of the room.
Practice after the sessions
Faculty and students were given access to Smart Maya AI for Education, so they could keep practising between sessions.
Five finalist teams reached the final after two rounds of semi-finals. Their presentations covered logo design, vlogging, digital ads, email marketing, website development and blog content: the whole curriculum applied to a product of their own.
On 19 December 2023 WiselyWise leadership visited the winning and finalist colleges and handed over the trophies in person, at ceremonies hosted by the colleges. Every semi-final participant and faculty mentor received a participation certificate.

WiselyWise also offered internships to students who completed From Zero to Digital Marketer, so they could apply the work on real projects.
