WiselyWise runs hands-on AI workshops that help Tamil teachers plan lessons, write worksheets and quizzes, and adapt reading for mixed levels, while teaching them how to check the Tamil that AI produces. We have trained the faculty of Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre in two half-day workshops, given them Maya access for their own classrooms, and presented to Tamil teachers at the MOE TCEF 2025 online session.

Proof, with its limits

Read the case study5 June 2025, for Tamil teachers. Of the 35 teachers who returned feedback, all 35 would recommend it; the average rating was 3.54 out of 4. They asked for a hands-on Part 2 and a Tamil AI-twin workshop.

The feedback figures describe teachers' views of one session. They are not measurements of student results, and none of this implies endorsement by the Ministry of Education.
What teachers do in the session
A typical half-day is hands-on. We tailor the agenda to your department after a call.
Turn one clear prompt into objectives, vocabulary, activities, discussion questions and assessment ideas, then adapt it to your learners.
Draft practice sets and quick quizzes by level, then check answer keys and wording before they reach students.
Re-write one passage at several reading levels so a mixed class can work on the same text.
Draft bilingual notes and progress comments that you edit in your own voice.
Checking AI's Tamil
AI is fast at first drafts and unreliable on detail. Every session teaches teachers a quick review routine before anything reaches students.
From one workshop to a department habit
Teachers make real materials for their own classes and learn how to check AI's Tamil.
Teachers keep using Maya after the session, as the Umar Pulavar faculty did.
The Part 2 session TCEF teachers asked for, built around the materials they have been using.
A second request from TCEF teachers. Talk to us about what a Tamil AI twin could look like for your department.
Scope and fees are agreed after a short call. Steps 3 and 4 are shaped with each school.
Who this is for
Singapore, Malaysia (including SJKT teachers who write RPH and work from DSKP), Sri Lanka, India, and weekend Tamil schools in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. We build examples around the plans and vocabulary your teachers already use. We do not claim syllabus alignment until we have checked it with you.

It can take over the slow first drafts: lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, reading passages at different levels and bilingual notes to parents. It does not replace the teacher's judgement about grammar, register, cultural accuracy or what suits a particular class, so our sessions teach teachers to review and correct what AI produces in Tamil rather than to trust it.
Quality varies by task and by tool. Drafting and re-levelling text is usually useful, while grammar, spelling, idiom and age-appropriate vocabulary need a Tamil-reading teacher to check every output. Nothing should go to students unreviewed, and we do not claim that any tool is dependable without that check.
We ran two half-day AI workshops for the faculty of Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre (MOE, Singapore) on 7 and 14 March 2025 and gave the teachers Maya access to use in their own classes afterwards. We also presented to Tamil teachers at the online session for Tamil teachers at the MOE Teachers' Conference and ExCEL Fest (TCEF) 2025 on 5 June 2025, and gave a keynote at the Tamil Language Festival (organised by the Tamil Language Council) on 5 April 2025.
Thirty-five teachers returned feedback forms. They rated the session 3.54 out of 4 on average and all 35 said they would recommend it. Their main requests were a hands-on Part 2 and a workshop on building a Tamil AI twin. These figures describe that session only; they are not classroom outcomes.
No. We work with Tamil departments and Tamil schools wherever they are, including Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and weekend Tamil schools in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. We build examples around the plans, standards and vocabulary your teachers already use, and we do not claim alignment to a syllabus unless it has been checked with you.
Scope and fees depend on the number of teachers, the format (in person or online) and whether you want a follow-up. A typical start is a half-day faculty workshop. Tell us about your department and we will propose the smallest useful starting point.
